RE: NOVEL CORONAVIRUS ADVICE FOR CHILDREN RETURNING TO SCHOOL

The commencement of the new school year brings with it a number of students and families returning from overseas holidays. You may be aware of the developing Novel Coronavirus outbreak in China which has now spread other parts of the world, as reported in the media.

The NSW Department of Education is working with NSW Health to monitor and respond to the unfolding international novel coronavirus situation.

Banora Point PS follows the guidelines from NSW Health and reminds our students about good hygiene practices. This approach would see parents keep unwell students at home and to seek medical advice.

If you have recently travelled to an affected area (ie South East Asia) and have symptoms, please seek medical advice before your child returns to school.

NSW Health has more information available on their website:

Thank you for your support with this matter.

Yours Sincerely,

Paul Taylor
Principal
